Building internal applications in a modern backend stack. Our corporate data platform and infrastructure are written in Python. We also write product-facing services in Go, generally where product and corporate systems interact
Creating data pipelines to enable data users company-wide
Integrating existing platforms and saas tools to make end to end processes run seamlessly across system boundaries
Enhancing a modern workflow orchestration platform
Working with stakeholders to understand their domain and their needs, and proposing solutions

About the Team

The Business Systems team is on a mission to bring useful software and relevant data to every person at Outreach, scaling the company to support its next 10x of growth. We are a centralized team providing a suite of services to other Outreachers, helping them to efficiently serve our customers and each other.

The Corporate Engineering team builds software and delivers data to enrich our internal capabilities, and solve problems that other saas tools cannot adequately address. Together with our Systems Engineering components, Business Systems is a complete unit that can address the needs of our internal teams with the highest possible quality.

The Role

As a Staff Software Engineer at Outreach, you will deep-dive on challenging technical problems, build scalable solutions and identify performance bottlenecks. You are someone who can iterate quickly, deliver incremental value and thrive in a collaborative team environment. You may own multiple larger-scale areas in the team and can prioritize work based on tying it to company objectives as well as customer needs. This often requires working with other teams to deliver requirements and sometimes implementation. You have the ability to work without direction for weeks at a time, mentor other engineers and help to onboard new team members.

We’re looking for an engineer who is passionate about building great tools for other Outreachers, and in doing so, help us scale core business functions such as customer experience, marketing, product monetization, analytics, and finance. If you enjoy building to improve the efficiency of how we serve our customers and our colleagues, we have interesting challenges for you.

Location: Seattle, WA (hybrid) preferred; Open to US remote with preference for Pacific Time

The base salary range for this role is $135,000-$209,100. You may also be offered incentive compensation, bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
