Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree with a concentration in accounting, finance, or business.
  • Six or more years of relevant accounting or finance experience, including two to three years in a supervisory role.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee financial management and forecasting for the client portfolio, reporting, day-to-day activities, and month-end close duties.
  • Supervise monthly project accounting efforts, lead monthly status meetings with project managers, and manage project updates across financial trackers.
  • Manage new contract engagements and assess related contracts and projects, including contract components and project setup accuracy.
  • Guide the client finance team on project tracking, budgets, and funds, and address related concerns.
  • Report and present project financials to project leads and stakeholders.
  • Manage new client setup, review master service agreements for rebates and discounts, and collaborate with legal and cross-functional leads on finance-related contracting inputs and intellectual property language.
  • Collaborate with finance teams on intercompany revenue and cost transactions and contracting; manage intercompany contract execution, cost allocations, project budgets, and scope changes.
  • Review project revenues for contract compliance, update new contract awards, and record out-of-period revenue.
  • Identify and elevate accounting issues to support proper accounting and revenue recognition in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles; assist with annual ASC 606 compliance meetings and documentation.
  • Prepare monthly project revenue forecasts and compare results with budget and plan; collaborate with FP&A on pipeline revenue and the overall revenue waterfall.
  • Manage project hours and expenses against forecasts, assigned roles and rates, new role and rate mappings, and revenue or cost adjustments.
  • Manage client invoicing, reconcile issues, follow up on past-due invoices and accounts receivable, manage unbilled revenue aging, and advise on invoicing recommendations.
  • Manage monthly client accruals and submissions, consolidating accruals with other Precision entities as applicable.
  • Review business development opportunities with senior management and prepare revenue and business development opportunity variance analyses for controllers and senior management.
  • Manage project costs against contracted amounts and direct costs shared across projects and clients.
  • Review and report monthly subcontractor expenses, forecast future subcontractor costs, and manage subcontractor agreements.
  • Review and analyze monthly general ledger account reconciliations for generally accepted accounting principles compliance and forecast expenses against budget and plan.
  • Perform secondary reviews of expense reports, invoices, credit card bookings, vendor approvals, documentation, and high-value payments.
  • Review and reconcile intercompany transactions and collaborate with finance department heads on department goals and objectives.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and annual budget preparation, including leading budgeting for specific profit-and-loss line items.
  • Manage audit timelines and communications, review and reconcile annual audit support, and prepare audit documents and schedules.
  • Reevaluate processes for cost savings and efficiencies and lead development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Update forecasts, prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis, and collaborate with FP&A to identify variances for stakeholder presentations.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reporting packages for executive management and review applicable FP&A inputs.
  • Advise staff on client finance best practices and non-routine financial transactions; manage and mentor direct reports and junior staff through career development.
