Workday Benefits Consultant
Key Role:
Serve as Subject Matter Expert with Workday HCM Benefits managing benefits, inbound and outbound vendor integrations for ongoing administration, payroll close cycles, and special projects such as the Annual Open Enrollment cycle. Assist with ongoing Vendor Management, serving as a technical liaison between third party benefits vendors, internal technical development team, and benefits stakeholders. Monitor benefit integrations output and performance by troubleshooting errors and identifying data trends that require robust solutions. Collaborate with internal human resources staff to resolve data discrepancies impacting the benefits vendor integrations, payroll processing cycles, and ongoing operations. Maintain thorough documentation of process documentation and project documentation such as requirements, technical file specs, and other project artifacts. Assist with system configuration and conduct unit testing and defect management in support of operational and project tasks. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Vendor Testing by augmenting test scenarios accordingly. Assist with inquiries, questions, and resolving issues such as Help Desk incidents. Support the Workday HCM Benefits, Absence, and Payroll areas by leveraging strong project management and support expertise, proficient analytical capabilities, creativity, flexibility, and process orientation of a functional expert. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of experience working in a professional environment
Experience with benefits or benefits integrations, including third-party or 834
Experience using Microsoft Office tools
Knowledge of benefit deductions or payroll processing cycles
Bachelor’s degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with HCM systems, including Workday
Experience with Workday Benefits, Absence, Reporting and Analytics, and Payroll
Experience with Jira
Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
Knowledge of HR processes and Vendor Management
Ability to be proactive
Possession of excellent consultative, organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
