Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in user experience, user interface, usability, product design, or a related area.
  • Demonstrated experience creating user interface designs and high-fidelity, interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, grounded in Human-Centered Design principles and informed by user research.
  • Experience supporting usability evaluations, task-based testing, or user-centered product validation.
  • Experience collaborating with product managers, designers, and developers.
  • A clear understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Strong written, analytical, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Support user experience execution for an assigned product portfolio by partnering with product managers, user interface designers, subject-matter experts, and stakeholders.
  • Create user interface designs and high-fidelity prototypes grounded in Human-Centered Design principles and aligned with veteran needs, clinical workflows, and usability best practices.
  • Develop task-based user acceptance testing scenarios and success criteria aligned with user workflows and release objectives.
  • Support and facilitate user acceptance testing sessions by preparing sessions, observing users, synthesizing findings, and making recommendations.
  • Conduct or support lightweight user touchpoints such as usability sessions, feedback reviews, and validation activities.
  • Translate user insights and UX guidance into product-specific flows, interactions, and recommendations.
  • Support iterative improvements based on user feedback, user acceptance testing findings, Human-Centered Design input, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Support UX and usability improvements for telehealth and virtual care workflows based on operational context and end-user feedback.
  • Identify and escalate usability risks, insights, and opportunities to product managers and the UX Lead.
  • Participate in accessibility and usability forums supporting continuous product improvement.
  • Contribute to product recommendations that improve user adoption, workflow fit, and experience quality.
