Requirements
  • Minimum 20 years of related professional experience.
  • Current Architectural Registration in the US OR
  • Current Professional Engineer License in the US or Canada
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Demonstrated focus on quality.
  • Exceptional technical design skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Exceptional communication, client leadership and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with individual office leadership to align and address quality issues and process by office.
  • Collaborate with firm engineering quality leadership to ensure integrated quality processes.
  • Working with firm technical design leaders (all disciplines in A/I/E), ensure that technical goals, standards, procedures, practices, and systems are consistently implemented to achieve a high level of performance.
  • Work with project teams, both virtually and via travel, to ensure best practices and advance the design and delivery of our work.
  • Continuously evaluate the firm’s QA/QC program and technical standard resources and initiatives, and lead efforts to ensure they meet the highest standards.
  • Establish benchmarks for ongoing design and technical initiatives and activities, and measure progress.
  • Working with the Executive Director for Practice Integration lead and implement changes in the practice that result in high quality, efficient project delivery, profitability, and client satisfaction.
  • Champion the development of technical expertise and the use of design technology in delivering our services to clients.
  • Coordinating with firm design, sustainability and specification leadership ensure alignment of priorities and the continuous improvement of every aspect of design excellence and the quality of our executed work.
  • Work with Construction Administration to advance the delivery of our professional services during construction. Work to enhance the feedback loop from construction to best practices.
  • Develop and drive a process to identify and disseminate best practice technical strategies to the firm.
  • Coordinating with risk management/legal team to coordinate best practices and assess risk on projects as well as develop firm quality standards to respond to those risks.
  • May have direct project involvement, ensuring technical quality leadership.
  • Work with project teams as an internal consultant to support decisions regarding process and the development of technically sound and innovative design solutions.
  • As required, work with project teams to identify and implement performance goals, monitor work in progress, and ensure that proper reviews are conducted.
  • Speak and write professionally in the industry and represent the firm at the highest level of technical excellence.
  • May perform other duties as required.
