We are looking for a highly technical, self-motivated, and experienced  Principal Technologist, VMware, DataProtect, and Cloud. You will leadtechnical and economic discussions with IT practitioners and executives that span: Deep security conversations, Cloud (SaaS, AWS and/or Microsoft), data protection, files and objects, and VMware vSphere virtualized data center environment discussions as needed.  

Ideally, you’re someone who comes from an IT practitioner with an architecture background with a significant track record in building and developing real world technology implementations, have a strong understanding around VMware workloads, and also loves to share your passion on stage, through blogging and social media. You’ll need to have immediate credibility with architects, IT Managers, security experts, and CIOs.

How you’ll spend your time here:

• Be a passionate technical spokesperson about the company and product through webcasts and presenting at conferences.
• Be part of an influencer community similar to VMware vExperts, AWS Heroes, Microsoft MVPs or similar communities.
• Plan and drive blog posts, podcasts, lightboard videos, webinars, etc
• Be a technology evangelist for Cohesity programs at events and other trade shows.
• Be active on social media platforms.
• Lead, coordinate and host activities with the IT Communities group.
• Drive demonstrations and discussion with key analysts such as Gartner.
• Build and run the technical infrastructure for trade show demos and train SEs and others.

We’d love to talk to you if you have many of the following:

• 10+ years experience in technical marketing or equivalent data center solution design and implementation.
• Strong hands-on architectural and deep deployment knowledge of VMware workloads, NAS, PowerShell, cloud and security technologies. With some understanding of virtualization and storage technologies, data protection and virtualization technologies. Relevant industry certifications preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of VMware infrastructure, data protection, and cloud  from a technical and strategic perspective. 
• Additionally knowledge or aptitude to align current  knowledge with Cohesity technologies and how they align with cloud hyperscalers such as AWS and/or Microsoft cloud ecosystem of technologies.
• Leader with an owner mindset, with experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup business.  Resourceful and creative.  Efficient and flexible work style.
• You have immediate credibility within the areas of VMware architecture and deployment, data protection, and cloud based on the portfolio of solutions you’ve delivered in the past.
• You will join a talented team of technologists to learn from, and with, in an atmosphere that is engaging, diverse, and dynamic.
• Expert level knowledge of IT industry trends, broad and deep IT industry experience, and a high degree of business acumen. 
• Proven ability to team with both product marketing and technical sales.
• Significant experience working in a technology evangelist or technical executive role
• BS or MS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems is preferred
• Able to travel up to 30% within the states
