Requirements
  • A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a distribution setting or similar environment.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience relating to inventory management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work with people at all levels within the organization.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound decision-making abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Handle receiving and shipping operations, including arranging the shipment of equipment and necessary supplies to a variety of project locations.
  • Ensure the warehouse is a safe work environment and that shipping and receiving processes and procedures meet safety standards and requirements.
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day warehouse activities within the shipping and receiving areas.
  • Direct, coordinate, and prioritize overall activities to ensure the smooth flow of inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Train, develop, and coach receiving and shipping staff.
  • Lead effective solutions and procedures to support continuous improvement and achieve optimal performance targets.
  • Monitor and maintain the work environment to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
