We are seeking a Financial Reporting Sr. Consultant to support our program with the US Marine Corps. Work will be performed on a hybrid basis with an estimated 3 days per week of onsite support required at the Pentagon. This role focuses on ensuring the accurate reporting of Marine Corps positions by leveraging a comprehensive understanding of the DAI Quantitative Drill Down (QDD) File and its relationship with Advana Reporting. The candidate will be responsible for identifying discrepancies in Advana and working closely with relevant stakeholders, including the Marine Corps and OSD, to resolve these issues.
The key qualifications we’re looking for to fill this role are:
USMC FM experience, specifically with DAI
A basic understanding of ADVANA, with some practical experience
Experience with PowerBI
No remote work until competence is demonstrated
Required Skills/Experience
- Active Secret security clearance (interim OK)
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- Strong understanding of financial reporting processes, particularly within defense or government environments.
- Experience with the DAI Quantitative Drill Down (QDD) File and its integration with Advana Reporting.
- Proven experience in identifying data discrepancies and resolving them by collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Proficient in Power BI for data visualization, reporting, and deriving actionable insights.
- Ability to create, manage, and maintain dashboards and reports that effectively communicate data-driven findings.
- Experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including military personnel and high-level government stakeholders (e.g., Marine Corps and OSD).
- Strong communication skills to convey technical data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to provide onsite support at the Pentagon approximately three days per week.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address data-related issues promptly and accurately.
- Familiarity with the business processes in defense environments and an understanding of how they impact data reporting.
Desired Skills/Experience
- Familiarity with financial reporting tools and report generation in Advana.
- Knowledge of financial and process discrepancies in large-scale systems.
- Ability to collaborate with Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) to ensure accurate position capture.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to drive data integrity improvements.
