Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 1 year of leasing or sales experience is required, preferably in multifamily residential properties.
  • Proficiency in computer navigation and property management software, including Microsoft Office, iLuvLeasing, On-Site, and Yardi, is required.
  • Knowledge of fair housing regulations and leasing practices is required.
  • A valid New York State real estate license is required, or the ability to obtain one within the first 120 days of employment; active license holders must register their license with Rose Associates upon hire.
  • Work authorization is required.
  • Ability to work weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays, is required.
  • Ability to work on-site, move throughout the building, ascend and descend stairs, and tolerate varying environmental conditions is required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of the leasing process, including conducting property tours, showcasing available units, communicating the community's value, greeting clients, assessing needs, answering questions, responding to inquiries in person, by phone, and by email, providing leasing information, and scheduling appointments.
  • Support prospective residents through the application process by gathering required documents, conducting background and credit checks according to company policies, and communicating application status and leasing decisions.
  • Build positive relationships with prospective and current residents and the property management team while maintaining a welcoming and professional leasing office and efficient operations.
  • Handle maintenance requests in collaboration with the on-site maintenance team and communicate with current residents about repairs, lease renewals, inquiries, and concerns.
  • Assist with weekly and monthly sales reports, including traffic analyses, as assigned by the Leasing Manager or Community Manager.
  • Receive deposits and rent payments and record transactions accurately.
  • Monitor local market trends and competitor offerings and provide feedback to management to support leasing and marketing strategies.
  • Prepare and execute lease agreements in compliance with company policies and maintain accurate, organized leasing records.
  • Remain present on-site and move throughout the building to communicate effectively with tenants, staff, vendors, and visitors.
  • Perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
  • Leasing or sales experience in multifamily residential properties is preferred.
