Requirements
  • Experience translating business requirements into technology architecture
  • Working in the architectural abstract, but quickly applying principles to a specific technology domain and working with SMEs when project success requires it.
  • Strong enterprise empathy and active listening
  • Exceptional relationship building
  • Skilled to high-quality professional writing: ability to produce fluent, concise, and - critically - unambiguously written documentation.
  • Understanding typical application architectures (n-tier, monolithic, microservices, event-driven) and underlying technologies (containers, VMs, web platforms)

  • GCP experience is highly desirable.
Responsibilities

  • Be the customer-facing contact for all technical aspects of a project engagement.
  • Provide technical leadership in the presence of ambiguity throughout project engagements.
  • Understand the 'why' (are we doing this?) of a project. Own the 'what' (will we build?) of a project. Support the 'how' (will we build it?) via Cloud Engineering teams.
  • Build and run Proof-of-Concepts to test the value of a technical solution.
  • Act as an SME for all aspects of adopting Cloud, particularly the topics of scaling, security and identity integration.
  • Ensure solutions are aligned with Cloud provider and WPP architectural best practice.
  • Author high-level design documentation.
  • Capture and address functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Guiding implementation teams up to Go-Live.
  • Contribute to development of WPP-specific best practices for solutions design.
  • Participate in Technical Design Authority board as both reviewer and presenter of project solutions.
  • Engage with development teams to demonstrate the benefits of adopting Cloud components in their application designs.
