Requirements
  • An active or former registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, or wound care nurse with experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute settings.
  • Familiarity with wound assessment, treatment protocols, and the clinical challenges skilled nursing facility staff face daily.
  • Understanding of how skilled nursing facilities operate, including their pain points and the pressures faced by their leadership teams.
  • Willingness to travel within the region 4 to 5 days per week to build and nurture new partnerships.
  • An associate or bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with skilled nursing facility administrators, directors of nursing, and regional leaders to introduce and grow the physician-led model.
  • Use a nursing background to discuss wound care outcomes, treatment protocols, and the clinical and financial value of the services with skilled nursing facility partners.
  • Identify high-potential skilled nursing facilities in the region and prioritize outreach based on clinical need and partnership fit.
  • Nurture long-term relationships with skilled nursing facility partners through clinical credibility and consistent follow-through.
  • Work closely with the physician team to ensure a smooth transition from a new partnership to active wound care service.
  • Work toward defined performance goals related to partnership growth and account activity.
Desired Qualifications
  • Additional business or healthcare management training.
  • Experience or familiarity with skilled nursing facility partnership development and clinical sales; sales training will be provided.

Skilled Wound Care is a physician-led provider of wound-care services for skilled nursing and long-term-care facilities. Clinicians deliver bedside assessment and treatment while collaborating with facility teams on documentation, prevention, and follow-up. The organization also trains and supports physicians building specialized wound-care practices. The provider brings specialist physicians into post-acute facilities and integrates recurring rounds, bedside treatment, care-team communication, clinical documentation, prevention, supply decisions, and education intended to improve healing and reduce avoidable escalation.
