What You’ll Do
- The Jr. Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst will create scripts using SQL and/or Python to test data either on-premise or in the cloud to determine if the data is accurate. This involves testing counts and looking for nulls, missing data, wrong values, and duplicates.
- Automate testing using Python to create jobs to monitor data.
- Test SQL or Python scripts from different sources with the same conditions to make sure that they are returning the same results.
- Test reports against code to ensure that reports are returning the same results as data.
- Compare requirements versus output in tables or reports.
- Test data models in Power BI versus source data
What You’ll Need
- 1-2 years of experience in the IT industry
- BS/MS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related area
- Intermediate experience working with SQL
- Basic understanding of Python
- QA experience writing SQL or Python to test code manually
- Solid knowledge of database design and how entity relationship diagrams work
- Experience automating testing through the creation of scripts and jobs in Databricks is a plus
- Experience working with Pandas is a plus
- Knowledge of Power BI is a plus
- Experience working with Databricks is a plus
