UI Engineer Co-op

Ribbon Communications is looking for a hands-on UI Engineer to assist in the design and development of features in our next-generation application user interface. The ideal candidate will have experience in or interest and aptitude toward contemporary user interface design.

The position will be within the Advanced Technology development team, working on the latest technologies in the Big Data and Analytics space using contemporary data visualization and UI frameworks as a front end to the latest Big Data platform engines such as Kubernetes/Docker, Hadoop, and Angular within a virtualized, micro-services application architecture.

A successful candidate must be self-driven, possess a strong work ethic, with a career interest in software development. They must be excited about working with new technologies and comfortable working in a dynamic work environment.

• Prototype/Design and ultimately deliver new UI feature content from the ground up or by leveraging appropriate industry standard technologies
• Debug/fix/improve the current user interface

QUALIFICATIONS

• Highly motivated, demonstrating a strong work ethic through academic achievement
• Previous Co-Op and/or Intern experience is not required
• Some level of experience with the following technologies is beneficial
  • Modern Client MVC/MVP frameworks such as Angular, jQuery, Backbone, Node, Bootstrap, or React
  • HTML5 / CSS3 / SASS
  • REST

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position in all geographic locations is $ - $ annually. Actual compensation within the range will be determined based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills and education. The compensation package also includes eligibility for an incentive plan and comprehensive benefits, subject to applicable requirements.
