Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure with the Texas State Board of Nursing.
  • At least one year of Registered Nurse experience within the last three years in a supervised setting.
  • Basic Life Support certification compliant with American Heart Association standards.
  • A vaccination record.
  • A negative tuberculosis skin test or chest X-ray within the last 12 months.
  • Successful completion of the skills assessment.
  • Hospital experience.
  • Consent to a background check and drug screen.
Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and implement client care as directed by facility and NurseCore standards.
  • Maintain competency through continuing education.
  • Administer and record medications given.
  • Carry out prescribed treatments.
  • Admit and discharge patients as directed.
  • Respect patients’ rights and maintain confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
