  • Possess a current DoD 8140.03 compliant certification for IAM Level I
  • Basic understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) cyber security requirements and guidance, cyber security related risk management techniques
  • Must be able to work well within a team environment and able to adapt quickly to change
  • Possess good social skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees

  • Completed at least 60 credit hours or more towards a Bachelor’s degree in Information System Security, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or related discipline, or 1 – 2 years or additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree

Responsibilities
  • Assists with the management of security aspects of the information system and performs day-to-day security operations of the system
  • Monitor and report security incidents and vulnerabilities
  • Perform regular security audits and assessments
  • Support the Lead ISSO with preparation and maintenance of security documentation, including System Security Plan (SSPs)
  • Collaborate with IT team to ensure security measures are integrated into system design and operations
  • Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and best practices
  • Familiarity with controlling, labeling, virus scanning, and appropriately transferring data (uploading/downloading) between information systems at varying classification levels
  • Ensuring all users have the requisite security clearance, authorization, and need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities before they are granted access to the Information System

  • Experience with DoD implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and governing directives (NIST, CNSS, DSS, etc.)
  • Current DoD 8140.03 compliance with IAT Level I or higher (e.g., Security+, CASP, CISM or CISSP)
