Requirements

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in a production environment

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple customer visits and projects simultaneously

Responsibilities
  • Travel to customer locations nationwide to provide technical assistance in the development, formulation, and production of further-processed meat products (e.g., sausages, deli meats, value-added items).
  • Troubleshoot production issues, optimize processing techniques, and provide solutions to improve product quality, consistency, and yield.
  • Offer on-site training to customers and their teams on best practices, equipment usage, and new processing technologies.
  • Assist our sales team with customer presentations with the goal of selling more equipment.
  • Collaborate with customer R&D and product development teams to create new meat product formulations based on customer needs and market trends.
  • Test and validate new ingredients, processing methods, and technologies for commercial-scale production.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards, regulatory compliance, and quality control procedures during customer visits.
  • Conduct product quality assessments, including texture, flavor, appearance, and shelf life stability.
  • Assist in troubleshooting quality-related issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Stay current on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in meat processing.
  • Provide feedback to the internal team regarding customer needs, challenges, and opportunities for product and process improvements.
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop customized solutions that meet specific customer requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, technical solutions, and product performance.
  • Provide comprehensive reports and recommendations after each customer visit.
  • Document and track customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with new product development or process optimization in further processed meat products
  • Familiarity with industry certifications, such as HACCP, SQF, or GMP
  • Ability to work with small or large-scale meat processing equipment and production lines
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role or as a technical service representative
