- A minimum of 2 years of experience in greenkeeping, sports turf, or grounds maintenance.
- Experience operating turf machinery including mowers, tractors, and implements.
- Knowledge of turf care, including mowing, aeration, irrigation, and nutrition.
- Understanding of United Kingdom health and safety regulations, including safe machinery use and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health requirements.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
- A passion for golf course presentation and delivering exceptional playing conditions.
- Maintain turf health through mowing, aerating, fertilising, and pest control.
- Set up and maintain course elements including bunkers, hazards, and tee markers.
- Operate and maintain greenkeeping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all work areas.
- Communicate with team members, management, and golf course users.
- Apply golf rules and etiquette in course maintenance activities.
- Support renovation projects and ornamental area maintenance as required.
- Monitor and report on course conditions and operational issues.
- Attend training sessions and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Uphold The Mere's values and maintain high standards of professionalism.
- Perform different tasks from time to time as needed to support guests and colleagues.
- NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Maintenance, or currently working towards it.
- PA1, PA2, and PA6 spraying certificates.
