Summary
As a National Account Manager with focus on “Transmission Projects and Renewable Energy” at UES, you will be responsible for managing and developing strategic relationships with national accounts in this growing market. You will play a vital role in expanding our firm’s services business by driving sales, fostering partnerships, and ensuring customer satisfaction. We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional with a deep understanding of this market, exceptional sales and communication skills, and a proven track record of success in account management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive national account plan to drive organic growth and achieve sales targets.
- Identify and prospect new national accounts in the Retail “Transmission Projects and Renewable Energy” industry, fostering long-term relationships and expanding the firm’s customer base.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key national accounts, building and maintaining strong customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including regional sales leaders, engineers, project managers, and construction professionals to develop customized solutions for national account customers.
- Provide expertise and guidance on warehouse and store facility project feasibility, technical specifications, and design considerations to national account customers.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations to secure new business and achieve revenue targets.
- Cultivate, Sign, and Close contracts for MSA’s and projects with target accounts.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution, timely delivery, and exceptional customer service throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and track account performance, sales metrics, and market trends, providing regular reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulations, and incentives related to solar energy to effectively advise national account customers and maintain a competitive edge.
- Ideal candidate will report into a UES office when not travelling.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, or a related field OR 10+ years of demonstrated success in managing national accounts and achieving sales targets.
- Proven experience as a National Account Manager or in a similar sales role within the AEC industry.
- Knowledge of Transmission Projects and Renewable Energy, construction, operations terminology, and industry trends.
- Proven experience in sales and customer service, managing a multi-year contract with a sales target of at least 25MM per year.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Willingness to travel nationally ~50% or as required to meet with national account customers.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
