Responsibilities
  • Providing both strategic guidance and overall account responsibility for Professional Service (PS) engagements working with Verizon Sales Teams.
  • Filling the role as trusted advisor with key clients, as well as identifying new clients and new opportunities, including developing new professional service offerings.
  • Overseeing new PS offering development and preparing final documentation for formal offerings roll-out.
  • Preparing statements of work for complex engagements and reviewing statements of work and final deliverables for Principals and Senior Consultants.
  • Working closely with sales engineers, consultants, project managers, and executive management in development of the overall network strategy.
  • Leading a team of highly technical and experienced Engineers focused on delivering professional services within the Verizon services portfolio focused on Wi-Fi and wired network consulting, design, and deployment.
  • Providing management oversight, leading service creation efforts within assigned portfolio, and delivering subject-matter-expert level guidance to the Sales teams engaged with our largest business accounts.
  • Providing technical leadership in design and administration decisions for infrastructure and systems.
  • Providing support to Verizon product development and PS offering teams.
  • Developing and providing a clear, accurate and comprehensive Scope of Work documents and designs that can be used as input to customer proposals and/or RFP responses and providing necessary detail and expectations to ensure an effective hand-off to the delivery team.
  • Translating customer requirements into an executable Statement of Work, leveraging Third-Party vendors, contractors, as well as internal resources.
  • Providing leadership in design and execution of product agnostic professional service engagements.
  • Providing technical sales support for advanced network solutions to all sales groups and customer verticals.
  • Identifying opportunities for process efficiencies and leading effort to design and deliver automated solutions to reduce or eliminate manual methods.
  • Developing standardized service offerings, based on well-defined assumptions and clearly articulated deliverables, in order to maximize value obtained from presales scoping resources and scale the business.
  • Developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Leading transformational projects that are interconnected to other parts of the business.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in consulting/professional services, with client contact at senior levels and demonstrated business development skills.
  • Experience in designing and deploying Enterprise Solutions in a technical consulting environment.
  • Experience selling consulting engagements which includes estimating, scoping, and writing effective statements of work that clearly set expectations and limit risk.
  • Technical knowledge with network technologies - Wi-Fi wireless LAN, Wide Area Network, cellular 4G/5G, routing, SDN, SD-WAN, data center networks.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Experience leading projects through the entire project lifecycle.
  • Ability to prioritize customer technical requirements both tactically and strategically.
  • Ability to assess client issues and prioritize actions to address accordingly.
  • Experience in working with cross functional teams to address technical issues within the solutions.
  • Ability to foster strong working relationships between project teams, clients, managers, partners and vendors.
  • Ability to host and facilitate meetings attended by client executives, stakeholders and Verizon executives.
  • Knowledge of both new business development and consulting methodology.
  • Experience in implementing large scale IT projects.
  • Technical experience to understand and solve complex network and application layer challenges both from a design and problem management perspective.
  • Ability to work well with others and champion/ influence change.
