Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical industry is required.
  • A Minnesota electrician license at the journeyman or master level is required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Knowledge of electrical hazards and Lockout/Tagout procedures is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics is required.
  • Experience with fiber optics, networking, and communication systems is required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is required.
  • A valid driver's license with a safe driving history is required.
  • Ability to travel locally, regionally, and overnight is required.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check is required.
  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and remain in various positions for long periods is required.
  • Ability to work outdoors in inclement conditions, including extreme heat or cold, is required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds is required.
  • Ability to travel long distances and work on active construction sites is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance across multiple solar plants.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and communication systems.
  • Perform commissioning activities across multiple solar plants.
  • Maintain and service electrical, mechanical, and communication systems that affect plant performance, safety, and reliability.
  • Support efficient, safe solar-facility operation while minimizing downtime.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with DAS, SCADA, thermal imaging, solar commissioning, IV curve tracing, and heavy equipment operation is preferred.
