As a Facility Operations / Maintenance Manager, you will be a significant contributor to design, construction, and subsequent operations of a critical radiological facility supporting Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day operations and maintenance activities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Foster and lead a safe, efficient facility operating envelope that prioritizes the health and safety of the workers, the public, and the environment
• Manage daily operations of a critical radiological facility, including oversight of supporting personnel
• Ensure facility compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and protocol
• Implement and enforce strong Conduct of Operations principles
• Provide leadership and management interface for operations, operations support, maintenance, work control, waste management, and other aspects of facility process
• Oversee facility schedule and ensure adherence to client / customer expectations
• Develop and implement technically-sound solutions to address equipment-related problems while prioritizing efficiency
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, facility management or other relevant discipline and at least 5 years of facility operations management or equivalent
• Must be proficient in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment
• Must be willing and able to work in an industrial environment that is in close proximity to and / or in a radiological facility
• Considerable day-to-day experience in operations facility process and related activities / requirements
• Background in facility maintenance lifecycle and execution, including Preventative and Corrective Maintenance activities
• Strong, demonstrated Conduct of Operation knowledge and experience
• Ability to interpret complex mechanical, electrical, control, and process systems, including Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams
• Capable of navigating operational challenges, developing solutions, and communicating to facility management / oversight
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret US Government Clearance. and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
• Facility / industrial construction experience
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• Experience in hazardous, critical environments
• Active Secret Clearance
