Requirements
  • 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical compounding, manufacturing, fulfillment, or a related operational environment
  • 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience, managing teams in a fast-paced, regulated setting
  • 2+ years of experience implementing and maintaining OSHA safety standards
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and operational reporting tools
  • Strong knowledge of USP 795, USP 800, cGMP, OSHA, and FDA regulations
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing production needs, and work effectively under pressure
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including walking, standing, and bending
Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of compounded products
  • Lead and supervise a team of lab managers, pharmacy tech leads, and pharmacy technicians
  • Continuously evaluate existing compounding processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, and productivity
  • Ensure that all compounding activities comply with USP, FDA, OSHA, and other relevant regulations
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels of compounding materials
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Supply Chain
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs and ensure the smooth functioning of the compounding department
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with both sterile and non-sterile compounding procedures is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of safe handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials used in compounding processes
  • Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and other regulatory requirements governing pharmaceutical compounding
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and a track record of implementing successful process optimization initiatives
