Intern – Runtime Software Engineer @ PlusAI

Responsibilities

Review existing implementations, identify areas for improvement, and troubleshoot software errors
Working with different engineering teams to define software testing requirements that meet functional safety standards
Write production-level code to realize testing suite that matches functional safety requirements
Experiment and validate the new implementations via both hardware-in-the-loop testing benches, and Plus’s testing fleet
Draft thorough documents for planned and executed activities

Required Skills

BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or other related engineering field
Proficient in C++, python, and Linux CLI
Previous working experience with ROS, software testing, and state machines
Understanding of the main components and principles of autonomous driving software stack

Preferred Skills

Previous experience with ticketing systems and collaborative documentation systems
Familiarity with embedded systems and mechatronics systems
Previous working experience with autonomous vehicles
Previous working experience with multinational teams and interdisciplinary projects
Basic understanding of functional safety concept

Salary Range

$19 - $65 an hour
