Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and/or MBA in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA license strongly preferred
  • Minimum 10 years in a financial accounting role with a mix of Big 4 and industry experience
  • Experience in building and leading a world-class revenue recognition and lease accounting team
  • Current and in-depth knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
  • Strong ability to coach, mentor and develop team members
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP is preferred
Responsibilities
  • Lead the Revenue close cycle by reviewing contracts, reconciliation files, and revenue estimate calculations to ensure proper application of ASC 606, and aggregate the required information for financial statement disclosures
  • Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Finance and Operation Teams to review and evaluate the impact of MSA terms and conditions for revenue recognition and lease accounting
  • Research accounting guidance and prepare technical memos to document Company's position on revenue transactions (ASC 606) and lease accounting (ASC 842)
  • Design, implement, and document processes and internal controls related to the revenue cycle and leasing
  • Work with cross-functional organizations to streamline the processes, workflows and reduce monthly revenue and lease close cycles
  • Support revenue-related technical accounting and reporting matters including Form 10Q and Form 10K disclosures
  • Collaborate with external audit staff for interim and year-end audit procedures and sign-off
  • Support a SOX successful first-year implementation, and ensure a robust internal controls structure and compliance with SOX
  • Collaborate with the IT department to maintain good system processes and controls, and ensure continuous improvement for our accounting systems environment
