Requirements
  • Deep understanding of operational resilience and IT compliance regulatory frameworks, including GDPR, DORA, operational resilience, the EU AI Act, ISO 42001:2023, UK AI Principles, IOSCO FR/02/2026, and DIFC DPR 10.
  • Practical knowledge of AI management systems, ISO 42001, AI Act risk classification, AI system inventory management, agentic AI controls, and cloud compliance frameworks including outsourcing and exit planning obligations.
  • Ability to manage and support multi-region compliance requirements and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to own and operate a policy governance framework, including authoring, reviewing, version-controlling, and retiring policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Skilled in policy register management, approval workflow design, attestation programmes, and leveraging automation for compliance monitoring and policy lifecycle management.
  • Excellent facilitation skills for AI literacy and compliance programmes.
  • Ability to collaborate with regulators, clients, and internal teams.
  • Confidence addressing compliance questions during board, regulator, client, and fund meetings.
  • Strong capability to interpret complex regulations and implement practical solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-workstream programmes spanning operational resilience, AI governance, and IT compliance, including governance documentation build-out, regulatory testing programmes, and entity-level reporting cycles.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Risk Management, or a related Compliance field.
  • Excellent business knowledge extending to Waystone’s global compliance footprint.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in compliance, risk, or governance roles within financial services.
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, or CRISC.
Responsibilities
  • Establish, embed, and continuously enhance Waystone’s enterprise-wide operational and digital resilience governance and compliance capability.
  • Design, implement, and maintain a globally consistent Enterprise Resilience Governance and Compliance framework covering applicable regulatory and ISO obligations, including ownership of the enterprise policy framework.
  • Implement and operate a jurisdictional IT, Operational Resilience, and AI Compliance Management Programme, including jurisdictional regulatory gap analyses across relevant regions.
  • Maintain a global compliance calendar and ensure resilience, ICT, and regulatory obligations, reviews, and reporting deadlines are tracked and met.
  • Own the policy governance framework across the Enterprise Resilience and IT functions, including policy development, review, version control, approval routing, retirement, policy-register maintenance, attestation, and awareness activities.
  • Provide oversight of IT and operational resilience controls and regularly update control frameworks for regulatory change, emerging risk, and internal policy updates.
  • Support the Chief Information Officer in performing the Financial Conduct Authority UK SMF24 role.
  • Support the Cloud Officer and Autonomous Systems Officer on AI governance, cloud governance, outsourcing, resilience, exit planning, and shared responsibility models.
  • Support the AI Management System programme aligned to ISO 42001:2023, including the AI system inventory and Statement of Applicability.
  • Act as the designated subject-matter lead supporting the accountable officer on EU AI Act compliance, DIFC DPR 10, and other emerging AI regulations.
  • Identify operational dependency and resilience risks arising from AI adoption across the enterprise.
  • Maintain AIMS governance documentation, including AI policies, standards, procedures, and lifecycle controls.
  • Lead the introduction and ongoing enhancement of AI-driven compliance automation for monitoring, evidence collection, and reporting.
  • Consolidate IT and resilience regulatory controls into Vanta and keep the documentation accurate and current for audit purposes.
  • Lead quarterly Enterprise Resilience Governance and Compliance reporting across all entities, including operational resilience reports, AIMS performance metrics, policy governance metrics, and DORA compliance reporting.
  • Report quarterly to the Enterprise Resilience Committee on IT and operational resilience compliance and governance matters, including KPIs, escalations, and horizon scanning.
  • Identify opportunities to automate compliance and resilience processes, including policy reviews, reporting, and control monitoring, and recommend improvements to compliance tools and workflows.
  • Provide oversight and challenge of ICT and operational third-party resilience, including due diligence, ongoing monitoring, concentration-risk assessment, and exit planning.
  • Support regulatory inspections, internal audits, and independent assurance activities with clear, consistent, evidence-based responses.
  • Lead the identification and retrospective governance of Shadow AI, implement a Shadow AI identification procedure, and maintain the enterprise AI system inventory.
  • Ensure in-scope AI systems are assessed, classified, and registered under the AIMS before deployment or continued use.
  • Attend entity board, client, and fund meetings to address operational resilience, AI governance, IT compliance, and technology risk queries.
  • Prepare AI governance updates and compliance attestations for board and regulatory audiences and support client due diligence and regulatory disclosures.
  • Embed resilience considerations into change and transformation initiatives.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to junior team members and colleagues on AI governance, IT compliance, and resilience matters.
  • Manage major or complex governance projects involving delegation and review of others’ work.
Desired Qualifications
  • ISO 42001 Lead Implementer or Auditor certification is desirable.
  • AI governance credentials such as AIGP or CDPSE are strongly preferred.

Waystone to support Mackenzie Investments UCTIS fund structure. 27 May 2026 Canada Reporter: Zarah Choudhary Waystone is supporting the launch of a new Luxembourg-based Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS) structure for Mackenzie Investments' Quantitative Emerging Markets Large Cap Strategy. The strategy has been launched through Waystone's UCITS hosting platform in Luxembourg and will be made available to investors in selected European markets and the United Kingdom. Waystone is providing governance, administration, risk, and compliance services for the fund structure as part of the partnership. According to the firms, the launch reflects growing institutional demand for quantitative investment strategies and expanded access to European distribution channels through UCITS structures. The Mackenzie Quantitative Emerging Markets Large Cap UCITS provides exposure to large and mid-cap equities across emerging and frontier markets. Waystone Acquires BIL Manage Invest

Waystone has completed its acquisition of BIL Manage Invest from the BIL Group after receiving regulatory approval from the CSSF. This acquisition will increase Waystone's Luxembourg Management Company's assets under management by approximately 15% and strengthen its market position and capabilities across Europe.
