Requirements
  • A minimum of 6 years of life sciences commercial experience across one or more commercial functions, including field, marketing, market access, patient services, medical, or commercial operations.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategy consulting, professional services, or an equivalent internal corporate-strategy role.
  • A Bachelor's Degree.
Responsibilities
  • Lead client workstreams that move commercial strategy from design into execution.
  • Activate commercial operating model changes across field, marketing, access, patient services, medical, and commercial operations.
  • Translate strategy into future-state processes, business requirements, user stories, decision rights, governance, and implementation plans.
  • Support technology-enabled transformation across customer relationship management, content, omnichannel, patient services, workflow, analytics, and reporting platforms.
  • Identify how artificial intelligence, automation, copilots, or agentic workflows can improve commercial execution, handoffs, decision-making, and productivity.
  • Lead cross-functional workshops with business, technology, analytics, operations, change, and training stakeholders.
  • Anticipate risks, dependencies, and shifting client priorities and prepare teams to pivot as programs evolve while keeping delivery focused on outcomes.
  • Shape ambiguous transformation objectives into clear workplans, milestones, deliverables, and decision points.
  • Lead workstreams and manage analysts and consultants to produce client-ready outputs.
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships, including working sessions, feedback, risks, and next steps.
  • Translate commercial strategy into operating model activation, process design, business requirements, change impacts, and adoption plans.
  • Identify and govern value unlock opportunities by linking transformation activities to measurable business outcomes, value cases, key performance indicators, and realization plans.
  • Apply life sciences commercial knowledge to connect workflow, governance, data, technology, compliance, and talent implications.
  • Partner with technology, analytics, artificial intelligence, operations, and change teams to ensure solutions are practical and executable.
  • Manage dependencies, issues, risks, stakeholder alignment, and rollout readiness across complex transformation programs.
  • Manage delivery discipline across workplans, milestones, dependencies, RAID logs, stakeholder decisions, testing and user acceptance testing needs, rollout readiness, and adoption activities.
  • Support proactive commercial transformation opportunities and proposals by shaping the client problem, workplan, solution approach, delivery model, and value story.
  • Contribute to thought capital by developing reusable perspectives, frameworks, case examples, and market-facing points of view on commercial transformation, enablement, artificial intelligence and data, and future ways of working.
  • Lead commercial transformation work that turns strategy into executable change for major life sciences clients.
  • Build expertise across operating model activation, process redesign, technology enablement, artificial intelligence and data, change, and adoption.
  • Partner across Accenture teams to deliver integrated strategy, technology, operations, analytics, and change solutions.
  • Develop market-facing perspectives on commercial transformation and artificial-intelligence-enabled ways of working.
  • Coach analysts and consultants into future life sciences transformation practitioners.
Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a workstream, manage clients, and coach junior team members.
  • Strong client management skills, including the ability to build trusted relationships, facilitate working sessions, manage feedback, align stakeholders, and communicate risks and tradeoffs clearly.
  • Strong understanding of commercial workflows, cross-functional handoffs, governance, regulatory and compliance considerations, and capability needs.
  • Experience translating business needs into process designs, business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, implementation plans, or change impacts.
  • Comfort partnering across operations, technology, analytics, artificial intelligence, change management, training, and business teams.
  • Experience supporting technology-enabled transformation or rollout efforts within the life sciences commercial sector.
  • Working knowledge of platforms and capabilities such as customer relationship management, Veeva, Salesforce, content and medical, legal, and regulatory review, omnichannel, patient services, reporting dashboards, workflow automation, and analytics platforms.
  • Practical understanding of artificial-intelligence- and data-enabled transformation, including use case intake, workflow fit, data and system dependencies, guardrails, testing, adoption, measurement, and human-in-the-loop governance.
  • A proactive approach to innovative ways of working, including how artificial intelligence, automation, copilots, and agentic workflows can improve productivity, quality, collaboration, and speed of execution for external projects and internal Accenture work.
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel, facilitation, stakeholder management, written communication, and executive storytelling skills.

Accenture drops LearnVantage focus, shifts $9B to cybersecurity and mid-market expansion

Accenture is shifting its growth strategy, de-emphasising LearnVantage, a learning and training business it built and promoted heavily in 2024. The company mentioned LearnVantage only once on its June 2026 earnings call, listing it amongst AI enablers rather than highlighting it as a standalone growth driver. Meanwhile, Accenture is redirecting resources toward cybersecurity, which has grown from $700 million in fiscal 2016 to $10 billion in fiscal 2025. The company is acquiring a majority stake in an operational technology security specialist, alongside two smaller firms, combining them into a platform for critical infrastructure. These assets generate $208 million in annual recurring revenue, growing at 48%. Accenture's acquisition budget for fiscal 2026 is approximately $9 billion against $73.1 billion in trailing twelve-month revenue. The company has also launched Accenture Edge, targeting mid-market companies. The stock is down 24.3% over the past year.

Accenture acquires Dutch SAP partner McCoy to boost mid-market AI and ERP capabilities

Accenture has agreed to acquire McCoy, a Dutch SAP transformation partner specialising in mid-market companies. Upon closing, McCoy will join Accenture Edge, the firm's mid-market business serving companies with annual revenues between $300 million and $3 billion. Founded in 2012, McCoy operates from the Netherlands with offices in Spain and the Philippines. The company employs over 380 professionals who design, implement and manage SAP solutions across ERP, data and business applications. McCoy holds SAP Gold Partner status and serves clients in high-tech, manufacturing, public sector, utilities and retail. The acquisition will strengthen Accenture Edge's position in the EMEA mid-market whilst expanding SAP modernisation capabilities in the Netherlands. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals. Financial terms were not disclosed.
