Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in IT systems administration, service desk operations, or a related technical role, including hands-on experience writing and maintaining automation scripts such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience administering or supporting enterprise identity, collaboration, and productivity platforms such as Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams.
  • Demonstrated experience adapting or troubleshooting existing automation, scripts, or workflows to resolve moderately complex, ambiguous technical issues.
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Claude to improve productivity through research, communication, analysis, documentation, automation, workflow optimization, and decision-making.
  • Demonstrated hands-on use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot to build, ship, or automate a working solution, evidenced by a portfolio, repository, or project example.
  • Located in the United States Central or Mountain time zone, with working hours aligned to that time zone.
  • Ability to handle escalations requiring cross-team coordination and participate in an on-call rotation for urgent issues outside business hours.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Availability for occasional travel to Rithum offices, anticipated quarterly.
  • Successful professional experience working in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain automation scripts and workflows using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar tools to streamline IT service delivery, endpoint provisioning, and systems administration tasks.
  • Design, build, and own automated workflows across user lifecycle, device provisioning, and identity lifecycle using Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Jamf, and API and webhook integrations.
  • Instrument automations with logging and alerting so every action is auditable and measurable, tracking hours saved and errors reduced.
  • Translate manual, repetitive IT operations processes into reliable, documented, automated solutions, adapting existing scripts and tools to address evolving business needs.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate script development, troubleshoot automation failures, and draft technical documentation, verifying outputs before applying them to production systems.
  • Administer, configure, and monitor end-user and identity platforms including Active Directory, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Jamf, and Tanium.
  • Administer and support collaboration and productivity platforms including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Resolve end-user computing issues across Windows and macOS through the ticketing queue, direct messaging, and voice or video sessions, owning requests end-to-end.
  • Document technical solutions so they are accurate, secure, and aligned with corporate IT and Information Security standards and policies.
  • Partner with Service Desk, Infrastructure Engineering, and Information Security teams to identify recurring manual tasks that are candidates for automation.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to test, deploy, and monitor automation workflows, tailoring communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide occasional guidance to Service Desk teammates on scripting fundamentals and automation best practices.
  • Document automation workflows, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides so solutions remain supportable and repeatable across the IT organization.
  • Own the automation knowledge base, keeping runbooks and integration notes current.
  • Apply lessons learned from prior automation efforts to improve reliability, reduce inefficiencies, and anticipate dependencies in future builds.
  • Monitor the performance and reliability of deployed automations, escalating and resolving issues within the area of ownership.
  • Use AI for configuration research, scripting, troubleshooting, documentation, and solution design while following responsible AI use and data security standards.
  • Validate AI-generated scripts, configurations, and recommendations in non-production environments before applying them.
  • Share effective AI-assisted approaches and prompts with teammates when they improve automation quality or speed.
  • Continuously identify opportunities where automation and AI can be applied to Business Technology workflows, escalating larger opportunities to the manager.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience in IT automation, systems engineering, or a DevOps-adjacent role.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Linux+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent scripting or automation certifications.
  • Experience integrating automation with IT service management or endpoint management tooling such as ServiceNow, Microsoft Intune, or Jira.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration or automation tools such as Zapier, Make, n8n, or Workato.
  • Familiarity with REST API integration patterns and event-driven concepts such as webhooks, triggers, and conditional logic.
  • Exposure to endpoint management and protection platforms such as Microsoft Intune, Jamf, Tanium, or CrowdStrike.
  • Personal projects, repositories, or hackathon work demonstrating scripting or automation ability.

The agreement will allow the retailer to widen its online product range more quickly and cost-effectively without necessarily holding more stock in its warehouse. The retailer said the arrangement will enable it to "rapidly expand its online assortment and bring new, innovative products and categories to market with greater speed and agility".
