As an intern on the Advanced Hardware Engineering team, you’ll be working alongside those who architect, design, develop, and test our state-of-the-art hardware systems required for enabling autonomous mobility, including compute systems, controllers, and sensors. These hardware systems are developed with diverse, interdisciplinary teams that work cohesively with the rest of the company toward a successful product and service launch.

You will be involved in a wide variety of coding at all levels of the embedded software stack, including drivers, middleware, libraries, and applications. You will often be the first person to bring up custom hardware and integrate it with Zoox’s software stack. We are excited to find more passionate firmware engineers to develop production-quality code and design a product that meets the high safety requirements needed for autonomous driving! You will be interfacing closely with the electrical, mechanical, and optical engineers designing the hardware, as well as the Perception team for the evaluation of sensors and the Core team for writing and bringing up hardware drivers.

The monthly salary range for this position is $6,500 to $9,500. Compensation will vary based on role, degree level and type, and benefits will be offered based on eligibility. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, 401k, and a housing stipend.
