Requirements
- Experience on implementation, troubleshooting and managing Cisco Wireless LAN Controller, AP and Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting knowledge on Wireless LAN Controller and AP.
- Good knowledge on Wireless LAN Controller 5500 series.
- Experience with AP models 3800, 3700, 3600.
- In-depth troubleshooting and problem analysis skills.
- Self-motivated to take ownership of projects without much supervision.
- Assist customers in troubleshooting hardware/software related issues on various Wireless LAN Controller and AP.
- Should have implementation experience in Wireless LAN Controller and AP.
- Joining APs to WLC.
- LWAPP and Control And Provisioning of Wireless Access Points (CAPWAP).
- Troubleshooting required areas of routing and switching for wireless deployment and troubleshooting.
- Good hands-on experience with routing protocols and switching protocols.
- Proactively and continuously improving all aspects of the teams operation remit.
- Acting as a point of escalation for network issues (Event handling and incident resolution).
- End-to-end ownership of customer service requests, collaborating with stakeholders and acting as focal point until resolved.
- Knowledge on 802.11 standards and protocols.
- Plan and design WLAN technologies, translate customer requirements into services and design recommendations, identify information gaps, evaluate interoperability with deployed IP infrastructure, select deployment model, understand regulatory domains and country codes.
- RF planning, designing and validation including RF Design/Site survey, indoor and outdoor RF deployments (coverage, throughput, voice, location, high density/very high density).
- Construct an RF operational model including Radio Resource Management, channel use, power level, overlap, RF profiles.
- Validate implemented RF deployment.
- Configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure including VLANs, VTP, STP, EtherChannel.
- Plan network infrastructure capacity.
- Configure and troubleshoot connectivity for WLAN clients, WLCs (appliance, virtual, Mobility Express), Lightweight APs, and Autonomous APs.
- Configure and troubleshoot PoE for APs.
- Configure and troubleshoot multicast on the switching infrastructure.
- Configure and troubleshoot wired security for APs (MAC Authentication Bypass, 802.1X for APs).
- Configure and troubleshoot DNS, DHCPv4/DHCPv6, NTP, SNTP, SYSLOG, SNMP, CDP, LLDP, mDNS (including Service Discovery Gateway).
- Configure and troubleshoot autonomous deployment modes (WGB, point-to-point, point-to-multipoint bridge).
- Configure and troubleshoot SSID/MBSSID.
- Configure and troubleshoot security (L2 security policies, association filters, Local RADIUS, 802.1X profiles).
- Configure and troubleshoot radio settings.
- Configure and troubleshoot AireOS appliance, virtual, and Mobility Express controllers.
- Configure and troubleshoot secure management access and control plane (AAA, CPU ACLs, management via wireless interface and dynamic interface).
- Configure and troubleshoot interfaces and lightweight APs (802.1X, AP modes, AP authentication/authorization, logging, Local AP CLI, WLC-based AP configuration).
- Configure and troubleshoot high availability and redundancy (SSO, N-plus-1, N-plus-N).
- Configure and troubleshoot wireless segmentation (RF profiles, AP groups, FlexConnect).
- Configure and troubleshoot wireless security policies (WLANs, Layer 2/Layer 3 security, rogue policies, Local EAP, Local Profiling, ACLs, certificates).
- Configure and troubleshoot FlexConnect and Office Extend.
- Configure and troubleshoot Mesh networking.
- Implement RF management.
- Configure and troubleshoot mobility (Layer 2/Layer 3 roaming, multicast optimization, mobility group scaling, inter-release controller mobility, mobility anchoring).
- Configure and troubleshoot client roaming optimization (CCKM, Optimized Roaming, Band Select, Load Balancing, 802.11r/k/v).
