Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in business, operations management, or engineering is required.
  • At least five years of experience in a manufacturing operations role is required, including three years of managerial experience; heavy industrial experience is preferred.
  • Industrial environmental experience and experience supervising in a heavy industrial setting are preferred.
  • Knowledge of large mobile equipment, operational key performance indicators, employee development, training, and performance goals is required.
  • Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement tools is preferred.
  • A solid understanding of change management tools and concepts is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Drive and develop a Safety First culture.
  • Develop and mentor supervisors and team leaders to strengthen leadership capability within the plant.
  • Direct plant production operations and establish priorities in accordance with effective operations and cost factors.
  • Establish, plan, direct, and support production priorities and schedule activities.
  • Lead change management initiatives and drive operational improvements across the facility.
  • Develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to meet or exceed key performance indicators.
  • Develop and implement improvement action plans for each area of responsibility to achieve year-over-year improvement in critical plant metrics.
  • Lead staff to achieve results aligned with company and business strategy and operational objectives focused on safety, health and environment, quality, productivity, inventory, people development, and employee engagement.
