Natural Grocers reports $334.7M Q3 sales, up 1.8%, with 1.2% comparable store growth

Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage reported third quarter fiscal 2026 results, with net sales increasing 1.8% to $334.7 million. The company opened three new stores and relocated one during the quarter. Gross margin decreased to 29.3% from 29.9% year-over-year, driven by lower product margin due to unfavorable sales mix, higher merchandise inventory shrink, and freight costs. The company refined its fiscal 2026 outlook, now expecting 6 to 7 new stores and daily average comparable store sales growth of 1.5% to 2.0%.
