Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) 3+ years or more of related work experience.
  • Professional Engineer registration (PENG) or EIT in any province in Canada.
  • Postgraduate degree in water resources will be an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • A thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific engineering software (EPA/PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, SWMHYMO, Visual OTTHYMO, Civil3D/MicroStation) for use in completing engineering assignments.
Responsibilities
  • Prepares hydrologic and hydraulic models for Municipal, Road, Highway, Rail and Transit projects
  • Design engineering of various culvert drainage systems for road, highway, and rail/transit projects
  • Helps preparing technical reports and memorandums
  • Develops and/or supervise the creation of engineering products that meet client quality requirements
  • Coordinate's drainage requirements for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses
  • Completes field assessments, analysis and evaluations as required
  • Provides support for construction activities as project engineer or contract administrator
  • Assists with proposal preparation and business development
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
