Are you a passionate digital writer with a love of style and interiors that isn’t daunted by a fast-paced environment? We’re looking for a news writer to join the Livingetc team, writing short-form trending content that focuses on everything from the practical side of design to viral content and the latest trends.
Livingetc specialises in reporting on the now and the next in home design. It is one of the world’s leading modern interiors websites and you’ll join a thriving, growing team.
What you’ll be doing…
As News Writer, you’ll write expert-driven and information-rich news content that informs and inspires the Livingetc reader. You’ll be tasked to come up with brilliant ideas that are right for the audience as well as delivering content quickly and accurately. You’ll have an eye for sourcing great images and the tenacity to pick up the phone to speak to some of the best experts.
You’ll write short-form content for the Livingetc website to optimise against and increase traffic through Google News and Discover, as well as Social and Partnerships channels (eg Apple News). You’ll pitch ideas that will drive audience and ecommerce revenues and integrate ecommerce opportunities into your content to support revenue and traffic goals.
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…
- Editorial experience with background in digital.
- A keen interest in the interiors and exteriors of homes, and an ability to write for American audiences.
- Understanding of SEO and a keen interest in and understanding of analytical tools, which you’ll use to form your content crafting.
- Strong writing skills - from the ability to write snappy headlines to tight grammar control, through to the ability to source the right image to draw people in.
- Flexibility - news traffic doesn’t always peak 9-5 so some elements of the role might require a more flexible approach to hours at certain times of the year.
- You’ll have a passion for the data side of web editing and closely monitor and interpret performance and trends.

The expected range for this role is £26,000 - £28,000.
This is a Hybrid role from our London Paddington Office, working three days from the office, two from home.
