Requirements
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and other computer programs.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening required.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to work some weekends and evenings is required.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local policies affecting housing is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic partnerships with local service providers to bring on-site programs or provide referrals to off-site programs and services in the following outcome areas: education, youth development, health, workforce development, financial stability, and asset building.
  • Provide non-clinical case management and referral services to all residents, including securing the full range of social services that individual residents need.
  • Initiate strategic relationships with other local service providers and stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with residents to better understand their needs and aspirations and connect them with local resources and opportunities.
  • Works with Property Management staff, family/child/eldercare service providers, behavioral/mental health care, and medical care professionals to resolve issues while keeping information confidential.
  • Conduct welcome orientation for new residents.
  • Create consistent outreach and communication with residents, including newsletters, flyers, telephone calls, and home visits.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation on all resident demographics, issues, requests, statistics, incidents, interactions, and outcomes through the services software. Align initiatives with Vesta’s resident services program’s outcomes, mission, and goals.
  • Participation and coordination of resources around critical issues such as housekeeping and money management for late rent payers.
  • Manage administrative tasks required for securing and executing contracts or Memorandum of Understanding with providers and partners.
  • Develops and maintains linkages with area resources, including 3rd party providers, regarding information and services available to address the social and recreational needs of the community and individual resident needs.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as requested.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal & written communication skills) strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on social work, human services, public health, or psychology, developmental disabilities, community development, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years of overall professional experience working with families in housing or human services agencies preferred.
  • Knowledge of child development and/or experience working with youth
  • Experience overseeing and managing grants a plus.
  • Previous experience in property management, and knowledge of HUD regulation a plus.
  • Previous engagement, communication, and collaboration with residents of diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds are preferred.
  • Experience working with partners and site team members to implement programs and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local policies affecting housing is a plus.
