Requirements
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • A maintenance trade certification or an Engineering degree is considered an asset.
  • Food manufacturing industry experience is considered an asset.
  • The role requires sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day, with frequent exposure to temperature variations, fumes, moving machinery, and humidity.
  • The position is in-office Monday through Friday, with some weekend overtime required.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and schedule maintenance work to ensure it is completed efficiently with minimal impact on production.
  • Create, review, and close all work orders in the FIIX computerized maintenance management system.
  • Create bills of materials for preventive, predictive, and project activities.
  • Work with the maintenance, repair, and operations coordinator to ensure all parts required for preventive, predictive, and project work are in stock before issuing work orders to the maintenance team.
  • Participate in daily maintenance scheduling meetings.
  • Coordinate work assignments and schedule maintenance technicians needed to execute planned maintenance activities.
  • Continually review and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate production downtime requirements with production and management teams.
  • Coordinate contractor work and provide contractor orientation on good manufacturing practices.
  • Participate in failure analysis and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with maintenance contracts.
Desired Qualifications
  • Maintenance trade certification or an Engineering degree.
  • Food manufacturing industry experience.
