Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Hold a current, valid nursing license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse through the Arizona State Board of Nursing, or hold a compact Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license, before the date of hire, and maintain valid licensure throughout employment.
  • Hold CPR certification at the time of hire.
  • Hold a Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Have a minimum of three years of Licensed Practical Nurse experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing facility, or rehabilitation setting.
  • If an Licensed Practical Nurse, the ability to obtain Registered Nurse licensure through the Arizona State Board of Nursing within six months to one year of hire is highly preferred.
  • Alternatively, hold current Registered Nurse licensure through the Arizona State Board of Nursing and have a minimum of one year of experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing facility, or rehabilitation setting.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate clinical activities by developing and sustaining an environment that promotes excellence in clinical practice and customer service while striving for optimal efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization.
  • Use the nursing process, leadership skills, and current evidence-based clinical knowledge to assess guests’ health needs, collaborate with health team members to coordinate guest care, anticipate outcomes of nursing interventions, and establish criteria for patient-care quality.
  • Assume other duties as a licensed nurse, as necessary.
  • Work within the interdisciplinary team structure to complete the guest’s initial Plan of Care at admission.
  • Assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating guest-care area or unit orientation.
  • Use materials, equipment, and time in a safe, beneficial, and cost-effective manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
