Requirements
  • Associate's or Vocational degree in nursing
  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required
  • Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross, Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)
Responsibilities
  • Collects, prioritizes, and synthesizes comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
  • Implements the identified plan and interventions in a safe, timely, appropriate manner.
  • Evaluates the patient’s progress towards attainment of the outcome and revises the plan of care as necessary.
  • Collaborates with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice.
  • Analyzes assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses and formulates appropriate care plans.
  • Identifies expected outcomes individualized to the patient and establishes a plan for continuity of care.
  • Participates in quality improvement activities related to nursing practice.
  • Attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice through educational activities.
  • Evaluates one’s own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Acts in an ethical manner and serves as a patient advocate.
  • Integrates research findings in practice to guide decisions.
  • Provides leadership in the professional practice setting and promotes a positive work environment.
  • Practices in an environmentally safe and healthy manner.
