Requirements
  • A high school diploma, GED, and/or technical school graduate/certification is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience repairing vehicles at a dealership or automotive center is required.
  • Knowledge of automotive and/or truck systems, tools, and technical resources and training to independently perform a variety of basic to complex repairs and maintenance of automobile and truck vehicles is required.
  • The technician must consistently demonstrate proper use of equipment and tools used in repair and maintenance and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • The technician must consistently provide exceptional customer service and improve the customer service score.
  • The technician must be able to prioritize and deliver work on time.
  • The technician must have the ability and basic leadership skills to mentor and train lower-level technicians.
Responsibilities
  • Perform automotive repairs, adjustments, and maintenance procedures outlined on repair orders for which the technician is trained.
  • Learn and perform oil changes, tire replacement and repairs, general maintenance repairs, fluid exchanges, alignments, brake services, and advanced repair and maintenance services.
  • Work with and train lower-level technicians.
  • Drive vehicles into the service bay, prepare them for and complete digital vehicle inspections.
  • Test drive vehicles and prepare vehicles for delivery to customers after necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the shop and work areas and perform other duties as necessary.
Desired Qualifications
  • ASE certifications (or their equivalent): A4-Suspension & Steering, A5-Brakes, plus 2 other ASE certifications.
  • A state inspection certificate, where applicable.
  • AC 609 Certification.
  • Own tools appropriate for the technician's skill level for use in the Center.
