Responsibilities
  • Oversee RFQs as the owner, ensuring comprehensive agreement and documentation of all commercial terms
  • Guarantee the negotiation and proper handling of Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other relevant contracts before commencing business activities
  • Guide the negotiation of piece prices and tooling, ensuring that commodity pricing aligns with World-Class standards
  • Drive ongoing efforts for cost reduction and avoidance through ad-hoc price negotiations
  • Cover all aspects of category management, including business plans, market conditions, technology roadmaps, and sourcing strategies
  • Stay informed about global industry trends, monitor technology roadmaps, and collaborate closely with Design teams to recognize and address supply and demand challenges
  • Oversee relationships and performance with respective suppliers, handling dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and conducting periodic business reviews
  • Actively participate in design reviews, change control meetings, and technical discussions with Engineering partners
  • Engage in Design for Manufacturability reviews with Engineering partners and potential suppliers, prioritizing decisions from a cost perspective
  • Demonstrate proficiency in comprehending technical drawings and specifications, coupled with a solid knowledge of manufacturing process controls and quality assurance within the commodity space
  • Lead cross-functional teams to effectively manage project timelines, utilizing action trackers, Gantt charts, and other program management tools to ensure the timely delivery of supplier parts according to Program timing
  • Communicate critical supply, cost, and/or quality issues to management teams and develop corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks
