Requirements Before You Start:
Education: Associate’s Degree, Nursing Diploma, or BS/BSN from an accredited Nursing Program.
Proof of Graduation: Submit either:
An official transcript showing program completion, OR
A letter from your Nursing Program Director stating you’re eligible to take the NCLEX.
RN Licensure Timeline:
You must pass the NCLEX and obtain RN licensure within 8 weeks of graduation.
Upon passing, you will transition from Graduate Nurse (GN) to Registered Nurse (RN).
What You’ll Do (With RN Supervision):
Assess patient needs and help develop care plans
Take and monitor vital signs
Administer medications and treatments
Observe and report changes in patient condition
Educate patients and families on care and procedures
Assist physicians during exams and treatments
Prepare patients for discharge
Respond to emergencies based on protocols
Help improve care quality through performance activities
Support your team and maintain a safe, positive environment
Participate in professional development, including NCLEX prep and New Grad Pathway
Skills & Physical Requirements:
Strong verbal and written communication
Able to read and analyze data from clinical equipment
Focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable with repetitive tasks
Frequently lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient handling
Able to work at a computer for extended periods
Role Before Licensure:
Until you pass the NCLEX, you will serve as a Patient Care Associate (PCA).
