Requirements
  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including significant experience in a management role.
  • Healthcare industry experience is required.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple sets of books and intercompany transactions.
  • Comfort adopting and optimizing advanced financial software and embracing artificial intelligence.
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Specialized healthcare industry experience is required in lieu of a Certified Public Accountant certification.
Responsibilities
  • Assess and enhance accounting practices to support continuous growth and implement scalable internal controls across multiple companies.
  • Identify and implement artificial-intelligence-driven solutions to automate routine tasks and support strategic analysis and forecasting.
  • Lead and develop general ledger staff through coaching and clear goal-setting.
  • Oversee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax compliance across multiple entities.
  • Prepare and analyze bi-weekly, monthly, and annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Analyze revenue and cash-flow trends to provide leadership with actionable insights and risk assessments.
  • Direct external financial audits and coordinate regulatory responses.
  • Manage business operating licenses across all jurisdictions as the company enters new markets.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is required, and significant specialized healthcare experience may substitute for a Certified Public Accountant certification.
  • An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant certification is preferred.

Skilled Wound Care is a physician-led provider of wound-care services for skilled nursing and long-term-care facilities. Clinicians deliver bedside assessment and treatment while collaborating with facility teams on documentation, prevention, and follow-up. The organization also trains and supports physicians building specialized wound-care practices.
