Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, MIS, computer science, finance, or related field
  • Eight years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics or related field, including at least three years of experience with data modeling
  • Experience in finance or relevant business operations roles may substitute for some of the experience requirement
  • Financial planning and analysis and data visualization background preferred
  • Advanced understanding of data concepts and visualizations
  • Proficiency with business intelligence software such as PowerBI, Tableau, and more
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL for efficient data querying, transformation, and analysis
  • Working knowledge of visual basic for applications (VBA) preferred
  • Proficient understanding of financial statements and commonly used financial acumen
  • Strong ability to draw conclusions from raw data and summarize results quickly and efficiently
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities
  • Designs and deploys financial and operational forecasting models that integrate predictive analytics, enhancing decision-making precision.
  • Identifies trends and forecasts future scenarios utilizing statistical models and data analysis to support the business planning process.
  • Partners with strategic planning teams to ensures that models remain adaptable to reflect potential business changes, with involvement in scenario planning to adjust models as needed.
  • Leads assigned initiatives that enhance data quality within the organization by adhering to and supporting the implementation of strict data standards.
  • Creates detailed database schemas and executes complex SQL queries that bolster data analysis and report generation efforts.
  • Streamlines data storage, retrieval, and manipulation processes, and creates custom tables and views to meet specific data requirements, improving data access and utility.
  • Performs regular data audits to verify accuracy and ensure compliance with data standards, demonstrating a commitment to data integrity.
  • Defines data requirements and identifies methods for extracting complex information, aiding in the quality control of business intelligence reports and dashboards.
  • Utilizes advanced data visualization techniques and BI software to improve the report clarity and impact.
  • Engages with users to collect feedback to improve reporting tools and methodologies, prioritizing user needs and practical insights.
  • Manages the intake process for data and reporting requests, assessing the feasibility, resource needs, and strategic alignment of each data modeling project.
  • Promotes a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team.
  • Assists in developing and delivering training sessions on coding practices, database management, report creation, and modeling techniques, sharing knowledge and experience to enhance the team’s data analysis skills.
  • Serves as a technical resource and participates in the exchange of ideas among team members, supporting professional growth and the team’s ability to address complex data challenges efficiently.
