Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics or Mechanical Engineering
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical components design and familiarity with mechanical drawings
  • Basic knowledge of jet engine behavior in enclosed test cell, specifically for fluid dynamics analysis.
  • CFD analysis tool knowledge in enclosed test cell
  • Knowledge of instrumentation for engine test application
  • Basic background in measurement and acquisition systems
  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, and Italian citizenship are required
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Availability to travel (Italy and abroad) for short-medium periods
Responsibilities
  • Perform capability assessment regarding aerodynamic CFD analysis for engine enclosed test cell, support the development of verification strategy and plan, included specific instrumentation for the proposed solution.
  • Manage the creation of validation and verification tool and execution plan in order to get appropriate evidence for tool validation (CFD analysis).
  • Review and apply applicable practices and processes (DPs, CTHs reviews, etc) for testing facilities throughout the life cycle of the design, execution, commissioning and handover of facility modification, in order to support new facilities designs.
  • Regarding the instrumentation for verification, be focal point for the design, procurement and installation.
  • Be the point of contact within the projects to support and coordinate the facility design team and test vehicle system team regarding Systems Engineering, Validation and Verification activities.
