  • 3-5+ years of experience in software development or data management within the financial services industry, particularly with Security Master systems or similar data management solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or C#, with solid experience in database development using SQL.
  • Deep understanding of financial instruments (e.g., equities, fixed income, derivatives) and their associated data structures (e.g., security identifiers, corporate actions).
  • Hands-on experience in designing and managing ETL processes to support large-scale data integration.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server for storing and processing large data sets.
  • Familiarity with integrating data from financial data providers like Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or ICE.
  • Experience with cloud-based data systems (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with API integration for real-time and batch data processing.
  • Experience with data governance and security protocols.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance the Security Master system that stores and processes security data (e.g., equities, fixed income, derivatives). Ensure the system efficiently handles the ingestion, validation, and distribution of security data across the firm.
  • Collaborate with external data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE) and internal systems to integrate security data. Ensure the system can handle a variety of asset classes and data sources.
  • Implement robust data validation processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of security data. Continuously monitor data feeds to detect and resolve issues related to security identifiers, corporate actions, and data quality.
  • Design and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to automate the ingestion and transformation of data into the Security Master system.
  • Work closely with trading desks, portfolio managers, risk management, and other technology teams to ensure security data meets the needs of end users and is available for analysis, trading, and reporting purposes.
  • Monitor system performance and reliability, troubleshoot issues, and make improvements to ensure high availability and responsiveness of the Security Master system.
  • Research and implement best practices for security data management, including new technologies, tools, and processes to improve system performance, scalability, and data accuracy.
