Requirements
  • Experience and understanding of warehouse or supply chain operations.
  • Hands-on experience designing and building simulation models, with an understanding of different simulation paradigms and when to use them.
  • Comfort working in a zero-to-one, high-ambiguity environment and the ability to move forward when the problem is not yet defined.
  • Strong engineering ability to build simulation models and the tooling around them, using artificial intelligence tools for execution.
  • A Master's or PhD in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree with equivalent hands-on simulation experience.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Responsibilities
  • Translate warehouse operational processes into mathematical simulation models at various levels of granularity.
  • Identify the appropriate simulation paradigm or combination of paradigms and the best tools for the problem.
  • Benchmark the performance of the simulation engine across various types of warehouse operations.
  • Drive simulation-as-a-product discussions by prioritizing features, establishing a technical and product roadmap, and overseeing development and integration efforts.
  • Assemble and lead the team that will build and maintain the simulation engine.
  • Design, build, and own Workbench's warehouse simulation engine and lead its integration into the main product.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with warehouse automation, robotics, or material handling.
  • Experience with digital twins or simulation embedded in a product rather than run as a one-off study.
  • Experience owning a technical vertical or setting standards on a small team.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Prologis Ventures' investment adds capital and distribution in July 2026.
  • The July 21, 2026 Prologis partnership expands AI and automation deployments.
  • Its Manhattan partnership still supports faster go-lives and scalable WMS implementations.

What critics are saying

  • Consulting revenue depends on partner-led deals; Prologis or Manhattan changes hit pipeline fast.
  • Accenture, Körber, and Manhattan Professional Services compete for the same warehouse projects.
  • If AI deployments miss ROI in 2026, Fulfillment IQ stays a services niche.

What makes Fulfillment IQ unique

  • Fulfillment IQ blends Manhattan, Prologis, and warehouse systems integration expertise.
  • Its July 21, 2026 Prologis deal links consulting to a logistics real-estate ecosystem.
  • It targets 3PLs, D2C retailers, and operators with product engineering services.
