  • Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. law school is required. The attorney must be licensed to practice law in a U.S. state.
  • 4 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably with a focus on corporate law and transactional matters.
  • In-depth experience with drafting and negotiating complex agreements.
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong legal writing, project management, and record-keeping skills.
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work well with a cross-functional team and thrive independently.
Responsibilities
  • Review and negotiate a broad range of legal agreements for Energy Solutions, including client contracts; agreements relating to a variety of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and decarbonization-related incentive programs; subcontractor and vendor agreements; federal contracts; and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Provide legal advice to the company regarding its legal obligations and risks, including with respect to contractual, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
  • Counsel the company on corporate governance, intellectual property, and privacy legal matters.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Review and advise on legal strategy in response to any threatened or actual litigation.
  • Draft bespoke agreements for new business opportunities.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Company-wide contract requirements, policies, and procedures that align with the mission, values, and strategic direction of the company, while maintaining best practices and mitigating legal risk.
  • Other duties as assigned by the General Counsel.
