We’re seeking a Dealership Bookkeeper (Paraprofessional 2) to join our us in our East Brunswick office location. As a Bookkeeper in our growing Dealership Industry Group, you’ll work alongside an integrated team of seasoned, well-known industry leaders. In this position, you will perform a variety of tasks related to overseeing the management of financial records and ensuring accuracy while preparing detailed reports. This is an in-office position and offers the opportunity to make an impact in a professional, collaborative work environment.

How you’ll spend your time:
- Gathering and utilizing documents such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, checks, and other documents to verify and post details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in appropriate ledgers and/or files
- Completing records and ensuring accuracy in a timely manner
- Communicating with clients and team members to ensure accurate financial information and addressing concerns promptly
- Maintaining financial records through to the preparation of the trial balance
- Performing reconciliation and balancing accounts
- Compiling reports to showcase statistics related to cash receipts, expenses, accounts payable, receivable, profit and loss, and other information related to business operations
- Calculating employee wages from records or timecards and preparing payroll checks
- Performing other duties as assigned
The kinds of people we want to talk to have many of the following:
- Knowledge of Dealership Management Systems (CDK, Reynolds, etc.)
- High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in accounting is a plus.
- At least 2 years of prior experience working in the accounting department of a dealership
- Excellent analytical skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to perform various tasks in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment
- Excellent organizational, project management skills, and strong attention to detail
