Requirements

  • Strong business acumen and a proven track record of delivering against topline revenue and gross margin objectives
  • Ability to communicate merchandising direction in an effective manner
  • Proven ability to lead a cross-functional team and work in a collaborative environment

Responsibilities
  • Develop, lead and communicate merchandising strategies for all product categories, leveraging product opportunities and business initiatives across all distribution channels to achieve company financial objectives
  • Create and oversee the execution of seasonal product assortments, which incorporate data, consumer feedback, historical sales, and competitive analysis
  • Partner with planning, marketing, e-commerce, wholesale, and consumer insights teams to understand, influence, and drive business objectives/customer needs and identify category/product opportunities
  • Responsible for total revenue and category growth for all categories and all genders
  • Partner closely with cross-functional team to build 360 degree go-to-market strategies
  • Drive the development of new product concepts into achievable business strategies
  • Analyze sales on a weekly basis to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business
  • Identify product opportunities through regular hindsight that incorporates fashion and macro trends, consumer research, business unit feedback, and sales analysis
  • Identify and address in-season risks and opportunities to drive incremental revenue
  • Maintain updated knowledge of key competitors, products, and pricing strategies
  • Manage retail price setting and partner with the production team to achieve margin expectations
  • Oversee creation and presentation of new product concepts, product designs, and line plans based on comprehensive knowledge of customers, brand, and apparel industry
  • Prioritize new product development in relation to the company's strategic vision
  • Deliver assortments that bring stories to life in a compelling and relevant manner for the target consumer
  • Ensure deadlines are met in order to deliver products on a timely basis
  • Create and foster a strong culture of learning and development for direct reports and a greater product team
  • Establish strong relationships cross-functionally, including Planning, Production, Brand Marketing, Performance Marketing, Digital Product, Wholesale, CX and Creative Teams
