Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of SQL Server version 2012 or higher database development experience, including stored procedures, views, indexing, functions, and SQL Server Data Tools-related experience, or 5 years of ASP.NET experience, preferably using C#.
  • A bachelor's degree and healthcare information technology development experience are preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to make formal presentations are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required.
  • The ability to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English is required.
  • Advanced or expert skill in systems analysis, systems design techniques, project management, and financial and clinical applications is required.
  • Experience working with and maintaining large datasets is required.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary resource for development-related project planning and support, with a focus on high-end solutions, advanced reporting, and business intelligence.
  • Deliver solutions using .NET applications or NPR and Magic technologies.
  • Evaluate, recommend, configure, and install technology to meet complex customer requirements.
  • Manage resources and projects to implement systems according to department standards.
  • Serve as a technical advisor in developing and implementing standards, new technologies, and best practices.
  • Develop, implement, and plan technology solutions consistent with customer requirements and industry standards, especially solutions involving advanced technology or development.
  • Design, architect, build, test, and deploy advanced reporting, dashboards, and web applications using ASP.NET and C# or NPR and Magic.
  • Design, architect, build, test, and deploy database applications.
  • Develop new programs of advanced complexity and scope using basic application system design practices and the system development life cycle.
  • Act as a resource and mentor to junior team members.
  • Acquire clinical healthcare knowledge about processes and department functions across enterprise areas as required by the position and projects.
  • Develop and implement cost-savings and performance-improvement processes.
  • Participate in on-call coverage when necessary.
  • Maintain performance, patient and employee satisfaction, and financial standards outlined in the performance evaluation.
  • Perform compliance requirements outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Adhere to DCH Behavioral Standards and create positive relationships with patients, families, coworkers, and colleagues.
  • Perform essential job functions in a manner that ensures the safety of patients, visitors, and employees.
  • Identify and reduce unsafe practices that may result in harm to patients, visitors, and employees.
  • Recognize and take appropriate action to reduce risks and hazards to promote safety for patients, visitors, and employees.
  • Use electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software, and the intranet.
  • Adhere to all DCH Health System policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and assume additional responsibilities as required.
  • Maintain frequent face-to-face and telephone contact with others.

Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of web services and web design technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • A formal educational background in Management Information Systems or Computer Science.
  • Microsoft .NET and SQL Server certifications or formal NPR and Magic training.
  • Healthcare information technology development experience.
