Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of software and options such as Tricodial milling features etc.
  • Familiarity Fanuc, Siemens, Okuma and HAAS preferred
  • Knowledgeable of carbide tools and adjusting speed and feed parameters for maximum tool life
  • Ability to assist in finding areas to improve efficiencies and communicate process improvements
  • Ability to read and understand all drawing criteria, GD&T, notes and tolerances
  • Proven team player with excellent verbal, written communication/presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
  • Prioritizes and ensures safety of oneself and others
  • Ability to proactively collect, manage and transfer knowledge
  • Ability to seek different and novel ways to create efficiencies when working on problems, challenges, and issues
Responsibilities
  • Verify NC files as well as maintain revision control on programs and setup sheets
  • Work to the dimensions and tolerances provided on drawings, interpreting features and notes
  • Help others around them to exceed the expectations of their job
  • Interpret and explain GD&T definitions. Makes or offer suggestions on drawing changes to improve manufacturability
  • Support assisting others with understanding or researching GD&T definitions
  • Machine fixture tooling as directed by process sheets
  • Meets expectations for productivity. Programmer is constantly keeping products moving and alerting management when production is inhibited. Provides consistent ideas for process improvements
  • Other duties as assigned
